April Nicole Kinser

I am a Digital Producer based in Seattle, WA.

Before arriving in Seattle, I lived and worked in New York as a digital producer for Discovery Communications. I also worked briefly for The Wall Street Journal in the Hub as a digital producer, aiding editors with online publishing and adding multimedia components to their stories.

Born and raised in Texas, I started my career as a multimedia journalist for The Dallas Morning News and went on to become an Interactive Content Producer for KERA and KXT 91.7, the NPR and PBS affiliates in Dallas, Texas.

I have a broad talent range with experience in video and audio production, managing social media platforms, editing, writing and digital and print design. I also have experience in on-air and voice over work. I can create a project concept, produce it and then design an online component, publish it and promote it. If you're looking for a one-woman team who works well within a collaborative environment -  and on deadline - I'm your gal.

I live in West Seattle with my husband and continue to explore this wonderful city and the people who make up its amazing stories.

Testimonial:

April did amazing work across many different facets of KERA’s marketing and content efforts, including web content writing and editing, graphic design, multimedia project architecture, video shooting/editing and more. She helped chart a new path for her position with her willingness to learn new skills and challenge herself in new areas.
— Alan Melson, Director of Interactive at KERA
April never ceases to amaze with her ability to have a creative vision and execute on it. I haven’t met many true creatives who can dream up and manage an idea from end to end (and deliver something great), but April is one of few and the proud.
